Background and History

Regis University was founded in 1877 in Colorado as a school committed to upholding the Jesuit mission of developing leaders committed to the service of others. Regis operates 8 campuses in Colorado and Nevada, along with one online program for worldwide students. Presently, Regis University continues to keep the Judeo-Christian principles in applying knowledge to human needs. The university also encourages "the continual search for truth, values and a just exsitance." Regis University has been ranked one of the best universities in the West by US News & World Report magazine for 12 consecutive years. Bachelor degree programs offered through Regis University are in the areas of communication, applied science, accounting, business administration, computer science, computer information systems, computer networking, finance, marketing, and public administration.

Regis University Online is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). The Higher Learning Commission is recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education and is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
