Western International University, or WIU, was established as a non-profit institution in 1978 in Phoenix, Arizona. Presently, WIU is a part of the Apollo Group, Inc., and is a for-profit corporation. Western International University operates 5 campuses in the United States, 2 international campuses, and an interactive online program. The mission of WIU is to prepare students for leadership by providing a broad educational foundation with a focus on business and technology. Western International University was also named one of America’s Best Colleges 2007 by U.S. News & World Report Magazine. Online bachelor degrees offered through Western International University are in the areas of behavioral science, human resource management, accounting, business, business administration, information technology, international business, and management.

Accreditation and Job Placement

Western International University is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA). The Higher Learning Commission is recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education and is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
