Liberty University Bachelor Degrees

Background and History

Liberty University is the world’s largest and most exciting evangelical university. While the cost of attending a private college today is over $20,000 a year at many schools, Liberty University offers you a more affordable solution. When you factor in the value of your time, our online program becomes an even better investment. With Liberty University’s online, 8-week classes, you can complete your degree much sooner than you could at other universities, which means you have the opportunity to realize the return on your investment even earlier.

Accreditation and Job Placement

Liberty University is regionally accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award bachelor degrees. Liberty University is accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) to award bachelor’s degrees. Liberty University is approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). Many of Liberty’s programs hold additional accreditation and/or approval from organizations specific to their field. As with institutional accreditation, strict standards in a variety of areas must be met, ensuring educational quality. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In addition to state licensure, students who complete the Teacher Licensure Program at Liberty are eligible for the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) certificate. All initial and advanced level programs have been approved by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The Teacher Licensure Program has been officially approved by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
