Background and History

Grantham University was founded in 1951, with its original campus in Southern California. Throughout time, Grantham increased its number of campuses nationwide. In the early 1990s, after discovering students worldwide were interested in Grantham’s programs, the university decided to consolidate into one resident campus and offer strictly distance learning programs. Today, the headquarters for Grantham is located in Kansas City, Missouri. Grantham University’s degree programs are specifically designed for busy and working adults who need flexibility in gaining a quality college education.
Grantham offers bachelor degrees in the following areas: business administration, computer engineering technology, computer science, criminal justice, electronic engineering technology, general studies, and interdisciplinary studies.

Accreditation and Job Placement

Grantham University is accredited by the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC). The DETC Accrediting Commission is nationally recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education and is a member of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Job placement rate is not posted. Career services offered by Grantham include resume writing, interviewing, job searching, networking, and access to a career transition service network called Drake Beam Morin (DBM). Grantham University states that “DBM is the world’s leading provider of strategic human resource solutions that help organizations align their workforces to meet changing business needs.”
