What’s the quickest time period in which I can earn a bachelor’s degree online?

The websites enticing you to sign up to earn a college degree in seven days are a scam. You may have to take courses and complete some assignments for these programs, but the schools will lack accreditation and legitimacy. Although you may receive a certificate or diploma in seven days, you will have a hard time persuading employers to take your education credentials seriously. Instead, you should seek out an online university that employers will recognize and that will teach you the required material in the proper way.

If you are able to take more than 15 credits a semester, you may be able to finish your online bachelor's degree within two years. Many online universities have an accelerated learning option, which allows you to take additional credits in a semester. Before deciding to take on more credits, be sure to consider the difficulty of the classes and the time you have available to devote to them. Don't enroll in an accelerated program before first checking with potential employers whether they would accept a degree earned in such a manner.

There are also accelerated MBA and graduate study programs. For an MBA, there are quite a few online options, but not all of them are credible. You can finish an accelerated MBA degree online in close to a year. Be sure to find out whether your future/current employer would acknowledge the specific online program. Sometimes employers want to ensure you have sound communication skills, which are cultivated more likely in a traditional brick-and-mortar school than an online one. Some prestigious schools offer valid online MBA programs. You can find information on various MBA programs, both online and traditional, here.

In addition to being recognized by employers and accredited by educational agencies, an online school should adequately prepare you to perform the tasks required in your field. Part of the college experience also is learning valuable life lessons and applying them in the real world. Be sure an accelerated online program doesn't move so fast that you miss out on that intellectual and personal development.
