Denver University, or University of Denver (DU), was founded in 1864 and was originally known as Colorado Seminary. Throughout the years, the institution grew and is currently one of the most respected and well known universities in the world. The University of Denver has adapted well to change through the years and has added an online program based at DU’s graduate school called University College. The University of Denver is regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (NCACHE). NCACHE is a member of the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Financial aid available for those who qualify.
