Background and History
American Intercontinental University, or AIU, was founded in 1970 in Europe. AIU currently offers 7 on-site campuses, one online branch, and a study abroad program. The online program started in 2001 and was later designated as its own separate campus in 2002. This institution's mission is both student centered and career focused. American Intercontinental University strives in helping each student grow academically, personally and professionally in preparation for achieving the individual's desired career goals. AIU offers programs in business, criminal justice, design and media arts, engineering, education, and information technology.
Accreditation and Job Placement
AIU Online is a branch campus of American InterContinental University, Atlanta, Georgia. American InterContinental University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s degrees. This umbrella accreditation includes all approved branch campuses of the University, including AIU Online originating in Illinois."
